Profile
David immigrated to Canada from China at a young age, and grew up in Vancouver where he has lived his entire life. David’s legal career commenced at a litigation boutique in downtown Vancouver where he represented clients in all levels of the British Columbia Courts and in Federal Court. Additionally, David started a property management and real estate investing company, and acted as in-house counsel to a local real estate development company before joining as an associate at Direction Legal LLP.
Since his call to the bar, David has practiced primarily as a barrister with a focus on real estate litigation representing both buyers and sellers in failed real estate transactions, wills and estates litigation, and matrimonial law with a focus on tracing overseas financial assets and division of property. David also has extensive experience in complex commercial disputes regarding the law of resulting and constructive trusts and beneficial ownership.
David has a working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.
